Refund policy

Effective: Not yet published — pre-launch draftVersion: Draft 1.0

Searching SlashedRx is free, so a membership is the only thing you can be charged for. This page explains when we refund one.

The short version

Cancel whenever you like and you will not be charged again. Charges already taken are generally not refunded, except where we got something wrong or where the law says otherwise.

Memberships are not switched on yet.

No payments are currently being taken. This policy describes how refunds will work when membership becomes available.

Cancelling instead of refunding

Cancelling is usually the thing people actually want, and it is immediate. Sign in, go to your account, and cancel. You keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for, and it does not renew after that.

You do not need to ask us, wait for a reply, or explain yourself. And you can keep using SlashedRx for free afterwards — searching never required a membership.

What we do refund

  • Duplicate charges — if you were billed twice for the same period, we refund the duplicate.
  • Charges after you cancelled — if a renewal went through after a cancellation that should have stopped it, we refund it in full.
  • Charges you did not authorize — tell us and we will investigate and refund where appropriate.
  • Our error — if a technical fault on our side charged you incorrectly, we fix it and refund the difference.
  • If we close your account without cause while you have paid for a period, we refund the unused part.

What we generally do not refund

Membership periods you have already used. If you subscribe and then cancel partway through a month or a year, we do not refund the remainder of that period — you keep access to it instead.

We also cannot refund on the basis that a savings option did not work out for you. Eligibility rules belong to the programs, and prices belong to pharmacies and manufacturers, so we cannot guarantee either. That is stated plainly before you pay, in the disclaimer, and it is the reason searching is free: you can see what we find for your medication before you decide the membership is worth anything to you.

Your legal rights

Nothing here limits rights you have under law. Some states give consumers refund or cancellation rights that override a policy like this one, and where they apply, they apply — this policy does not reduce them.

If you think you are entitled to a refund the policy does not cover, ask anyway and tell us why.

How to ask

Email [SUPPORT EMAIL] from the address on your account and tell us which charge you mean. We aim to respond within five business days.

Approved refunds go back to the original payment method through Stripe, and usually appear within five to ten business days depending on your bank.

These pages describe how SlashedRx actually works. They are not legal advice, and they do not create rights beyond those the law already gives you.
